Summary: Ticked all the boxes, great location, some reno in building but unit was very clean. Mattress was too hard for my family member but was ok to me. Overall we had a very nice stay.

Summary: The owner gave me great instructions on how to check in and everything. What he failed to mention was the noise form the construction in the building. He listed the many great amenities of the building and then when it was less than 12 hours from check in, he informed me that they would be gone because of the construction. Then the next day I woke up at 8:00 am to them drilling and hammering directly next to my room INSIDE the apartment building. Several attempts to contact the owner were made by both me and VRBO. He did not answer phone calls or messages for hours. As the noise continued well into the day, I had no choice but to get a new hotel room, when we finally got a hold of him, (and with him claiming that He never got any messages and phone calls, he wouldn’t refund my stay. Almost mocking me for not getting travel insurance. Worst experience I’ve had and that owner shouldn’t be allowed to be on this app.

Summary: My husband and I enjoyed a 3 night stay in this clean and comfortable apartment. The location in the East Village was perfect for us as it was less than 5 mins from the venue where we were hosting our sons wedding and would need to make many trips back and forth. The apartment very clean and was stocked with the necessities expected and had plenty of towels. There was a nice green space on the back side of the parking lot for walking our dog, which had stocked disposal bags and trash can provided. Communication with our host Josiah was very efficient and he was very responsive through the entire process.

Summary: The apartment had everything I needed for a solo weekend stay. Kitchen had the necessities, living room was comfortable, bed was good. Location is pretty prime and the parking pass to be able to park out back was clutch.

Summary: My wife and I came to Des Moines to go to Drake Relays for the weekend. Although the property was not near campus, it was only a short car ride away, and we had the advantage of having the amenities of East Village Des Moines at our disposal. Everything about the place was as advertised. My only slight complaint was that the keypad lock to the front door was a bit finicky - it took us a few times to get the hang of it. That said, I would not hesitate to stay at this unit again.

Summary: The building is walking distance to the Capitol to the east, and the Civic Center to the west. Comfortable apartment, full kitchen. The building itself is undergoing some renovations right now, but nothing too disruptive to my stay.
